NoICE Highlights

The NoICE Highlights are infosheets written by the project partners describing their current research, results and what they are working on within the project.

The third NoICE Highlights describes the collaboration between Novia University of Applied Sciences and Tampere University for new solutions to the issue of woodchips freezing in trailers, causing problems when unloading. The restrictions of Covid-19 has prevented the finalization of the test, but already now it is possible to read about the setup and construction of the tests while waiting for the results. Satellite data can be used to sense ice and snow accretion! Read about this in the fourth issue of NoICE Highlights written by Hafiz Haq at Unveristy of Vaasa, where the goal of the study is to develop future methods for near real time monitoring of snow and ice accretion, which could have many applications, for example forestry.
